Judging Panel Decided for Lloyd Webber Programme

How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? has added further judges to the panel that will make or break a budding actress' dream.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is using his NEW reality style show to find the leading role for his latest West End production The Sound of Music.

Graham Norton is contracted to host the BBC1 search for nun turned governess Maria, with Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer David Ian on the judging panel that will decide the lead role in their latest West End venture. Thousands of hopefuls have been whittled down to just ten who will perform live on the BBC1 programme each night. The viewing audience and a panel of judges that have years of theatre experience between them will decide who goes through to sing another day. The winner takes home a professional contract for the London West End production of The Sound of Music, beginning in November at the London Palladium theatre.

Joining Lloyd Webber and Ian to judge the finalists are John Barrowman and Zoe Tyler. Barrowman is a West End regular having appeared on both Broadway and in London's West End. John Barrowman has performed in Evita, A Few Good Men, Chicago and The Phantom of the Opera, so joins the judging panel with experience of the theatre from a performers view point.

Zoe Tyler, a singer and professional vocal coach joins the judging theatre elite. Zoe is as familiar with the West End as Barrowman having performed in both Les Misérables and Fame. Collectively the panel have experience of every element of the theatre, ensuring that the most appropriate candidate is chosen.

How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? will be a reality programme like no other and if you want my advice it's well worth a watch!
