More Spamalot in the West End

Already a huge success with theatre goers and critics alike, the West End comedy musical Spamalot has announced a further extension to its booking period. Tickets are now available until March 1st 2008.

Spamalot is written by John Du Prez and Eric Idle and "lovingly ripped off" from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The West End musical features an all new score with music and lyrics by Du Prez and Idle which blend perfectly with 3 songs from the 1975 film.

As with the Monty Python film, Spamalot sends up the Arthurian legend with comic glee and takes a few shots at musical theatre along the way - including the Andrew Lloyd Webber parodying The Song That Goes Like This. With killer rabbits, a legless knight, flatulent Frenchmen and a bevy of dancing women and serfs, there's plenty for Python fans to love in this musical.

Spamalot's cast includes former Doctor Who Peter Davison as King Arthur with Graham McDuff as Sir Dennies, Bill Wardl as Sir Lancelot, Robert Hands as Sir Robin, Hannah Waddingham as The Lady of the Lake and Andrew Spillet as Patsy.
