Cast changes in We Will Rock You

It opened in May 2003 and has proved a huge hit with West End audiences and now We Will Rock You has announced major cast changes effective from October 1st 2007.

Having understudied the role for the last six months, Richard Afonso will now be stepping up to playing the role of Galileo. Sabrina Aloueche will take over the role of Scaramouche while Julian Littman will step into Pop's sandals. The trio of new actors will be welcomed by cast members Lain Gray who continues as Britney as does Lucy Sinclair as Meat and Mazz Murray and Alex Bourne as Killer Queen and Khashogii. Murray has played Killer Queen since April 2004 and Bourne has been Khashogii since April 2005. The new performers will also be welcomed by a special guest - Queen guitarist, and co-writer of the show, Brian May will be in the audience on October 1st to enjoy the new cast's first performance.

Currently playing at the Dominion Theatre, We Will Rock You holds the record for the longest running musical production at the venue. The show was written by Ben Elton and the surviving members of Queen, directed by Christopher Renshaw and choreographed by Arlene Phillips.

We Will Rock You is set on the futuristic world of Planet Mall where all music, instruments and anything remotely fun is outlawed. The spectacular musical follows the Bohemians as they struggle to save music before the Ga Ga Police catch them.

With the show enjoying continued success, the producers have announced a new booking period until October 2008.
