A Wicked Birthday

The spell-binding musical Wicked opened on the West End in September 2006 after much anticipation and has now celebrated its first London anniversary.

After a huge success on Broadway, Wicked transferred to London's West End and made its first performance on 7th September. With a recent extension to September 27th 2008, this magical show looks set to see in it's second London anniversary too.

Wicked currently stars Kerry Ellis as Elphaba and Dianne Pilkington as Glinda. Other cast members include Susie Blake as Madame Morrible, Nigel Planner as The Wizard, James Gillan as Boq, Katie Rowley Jones as Nessarose, Andy Mace as Doctor Dillamond and Oliver Thompsett as Fiyero.

Wicked is the magical musical story of Oz long before Dorothy and Toto strolled down the yellow brick road. A story of 2 young girls, one of the blonde haired and popular and the other... well, green skinned and destined to become the Wicked Witch of the West. Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has now been seen by over 800,000 people in London.
