Zorro Cast Announced

As theatre audiences prepare for the infamous 'Z' to be marked on their memories, the producers of the up-coming musical version of Zorro announce further cast details ahead of public opening on July 19th.

Matt Rawle will star in the lead role as 'Diego' with Lesli Margherita as Inez, Emma Williams as Luisa along with other cast members Adam Levy, Nick Cavaliere and Jonathan Newth.

Emma Williams has appeared on stage in Sweeney Todd as Johanna and the original production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Adam Levvy's stage appearances include Henry V at the National Theatre. Californian Lesli Margherita is known for on screen appearances in Fame LA, Charmed and NYPD Blue with stage credits including Damn Yankees and Kiss Me Kate.

One of the most recognised, swashbuckling swordsman having been imortalised in numerous films and books since he first appeared in the pulp fiction magazine All-Story Weekly in 1920, Zorro is renowned for the 'Z' mark etched with his sword.

Zorro is the story of Diego De la Vega, Diego's mother is a Shoshone warrior and his father an aristocratic military man. Diego's young promise and skill at fencing is encouraged before he is sent to Barcelona for his education. When in Barcelona the young man becomes more distracted by the corruption and injustice of the Napoleonic rule and joins an underground resistance movement and the legend of Zorro begins to unfold.
