Iceland Express speeds up check-in

Passengers travelling to Iceland this summer will find their journey time cut, as Iceland Express has introduced a new offer.

The airline, which offers a daily service between London Stansted and Iceland, has revealed that passengers travelling to the northern country until September will receive a complimentary Fast Track pass at Stansted.

This means that holidaymakers will be able to proceed straight through security after check-in and cut down airport waiting times.

"Iceland Express is all about our passengers having an enjoyable and efficient journey," explained Matthias Imsland, Iceland Express' chief executive.

"We'd had feedback from regular travellers to Iceland that this service, which is normally only available to business-class passengers, will persuade them to make Stansted their first choice of London airport.

"Holidaymakers with young children will particularly appreciate being able to go straight through security and this will give them a great start to their holiday."

Mr Imsland added that Iceland was only three hours away from the UK and has many interesting tourist destinations and activities to attract UK holidaymakers.

Recently, Iceland Air introduced an offer to allow people from the UK to take advantage of the countries long summer days and play golf at one of Iceland's top courses.
