DJ plays set on commercial flight

Passengers heading to the clubbing island of Ibiza were able to get their party started a little earlier than they expected when DJ David Guetta played a set on a Vueling flight.

ITV News reports that the French DJ became the first turntablist to perform a gig on a commercial flight when he played to passengers on a plane travelling between Paris and Ibiza.

While some of the passengers had found out about the gig before boarding, others were slightly confused when they found a specially constructed DJ booth at the front of the craft.

Whether they knew about it or not, reports suggest that the passengers enjoyed Guetta's 40-minute set, especially when he dropped his summer anthem Love is Gone.

One reveller told ITN: "It's really fantastic, it's the best experience, it's unique."

Some of the passengers were so excited by the gig that they continued the party on landing, following Guetta straight to the Pacha superclub for his infamous 'F*** Me I'm Famous' night.

In recent months, low-cost airline Monarch marked the start of its summer service from Luton to Ibiza by branding one of its craft in the colours of another Balearic clubbing brand - Head Kandi.
