More Turkish flights from Bristol

A tour operator offering flights from Bristol International Airport to Turkey has expanded its services because of elevated demand.

Goldtrail Holidays will add an extra weekly flight from the south-western hub to Bodrum until September 20th.

The company will also continue to offer its flights from Bristol to the Turkish cities of Dalaman and Antalya throughout the summer.

"Turkey is one of our most popular summer destinations, and Goldtrail's additional flight means more families from across the South West can get away for a holiday in the sun - but, with demand so strong, they need to book soon to avoid disappointment," commented Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Bristol International Airport.

Recently, the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) reported that Turkey was the ninth most popular summer holiday destination for Brits this year.

An ABTA statement praised the country's culture, beaches and historic cities. It added: "Whether holidaymakers are singles looking for a vibrant nightlife, couples looking for escape or families needing plenty of entertainment, Turkey can accommodate all tastes and needs."
