Please remember we do not organise or sell package holidays. But with this financial protection guarantee, each individual transaction in your overall holiday booking is still covered and your money is therefore safe.
On the Beach has an ATOL from the CAA. It is a requirement of the offer of an ATOL that we provide financial protection arrangements for all bookings which include a flight, accommodation, car hire or transfers.
This protection is provided by a combination of a CAA approved Trust Fund (which protects you in the unlikely event of our insolvency) and airline failure insurance, meaning any element of your holiday affected by supplier failure will be refunded, and we will help to ensure the other components of your holiday will still be able to go ahead.
Please note the Trust is a approved by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority) who manage ATOL (the financial protection scheme). We are also a Member of ABTA which means you have the benefit of ABTA‚Äôs assistance and Code of Conduct.
What should I do if this affects me?
In the event of airline insolvency simply contact On the Beach and we will remunerate your lost monies or arrange your flight home if you are overseas at the time of the collapse.
This service is part of On the Beach‚Äôs commitment to financially protect your booking.
On the Beach are covered against financial insolvencies under a corporate insurance through Whitman Gowdridge Insurance Brokers Ltd, and is provided by International Passenger Protection (IPP) Ltd, the worldwide leaders in providing insolvency protection to the travel industry.
All security on IPP policies is provided by a panel of leading Insurers and Reinsurers with combined net assets in excess of €100 Billion.
The above applies to all new UK bookings made from 22 July 2011. As is standard with online travel agents, booking administration fees will not be refundable in the event of airline failure, neither will in-flight extras and credit card charges.
