Hand baggage

• Hand baggage must not be larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, including wheels, handles and external pockets.


• Liquids, gels, creams, aerosols and pastes may be carried in your hand luggage, but they must be in containers of 100ml or less. Liquids must be carried in a see-through, resealable bag no larger than 20cm by 20cm. Only one bag of liquids is allowed per passenger.


• If you need to carry more than 100ml of liquid medicine you will need approval from your airline. Always carry your prescription with you or a letter from your doctor.


• As much baby food as you need for the journey can be taken onto the plane, but you may be asked to taste the baby food or milk.


• Sharp, pointed or dangerous items are not allowed in your hand luggage. These include razor blades, tools, toy guns, tweezers, scissors, knives, metal cutlery and anything else that could be used as a weapon.


• If your hand luggage is heavier than the allowance or is too big, you may be asked to put it in the hold.

Checked-in luggage

• Details of your luggage allowance should be printed on the documentation provided by your airline. If these details aren't provided please do check with them.


• It is advisable to lock your suitcases; however, security staff may open the cases if they wish to inspect them.


• If your hand baggage is heavier than the allowance, the airline is within its rights to charge you an excess baggage charge
