Indulge yourself

If you want a really special holiday, you need to start with a special airport hotel. The Radisson Blu Hotel at London Stansted Airport, Stansted is just the place - and we mean it! This at Stansted airport hotel is right next to the terminal! With two great restaurants, a posh bar with acrobatic displays overhead, not to mention an on-site health club, this hotel has plenty to keep you occupied.

When you’re done having fun, you’ll find an extra-large room with extra-large beds waiting for you upstairs. There are three types: blue, wave-themed “Ocean” rooms, red-decorated cosmopolitan “Urban” rooms and exotic-themed “Chile” rooms. All come packed with useful features.

A truly-angelic wine bar

Angel’s Wine Tower bar has Europe’s first “wine tower”, a 13-metre wine rack with the bar’s “Angels” performing acrobatic feats as they ascend the tower to fetch you down one of 4,000 bottles of wine, chosen from the hotel’s extensive menu. At night, the whole tower is lit up and makes a thrilling centrepiece to the hotel.

If that’s all too much excitement, why not unwind in the on-site health club. There are a few treatment rooms, offering massages for an additional fee, a small, but stylishly-arranged pool and even a gym packing plenty of high-tech equipment into a small space. You’ll even find 12 machines, including treadmills and stair climbers, arranged in front of three TVs. There’s a good selection of free weights too.

If you’re looking to treat yourself, then the Radisson Blu is the hotel for you and it’s right on site at the airport, just four minutes from the terminal by a covered walkway, making it the closest hotel to Stansted airport. It really doesn’t get much better than this, and to prove it, the hotel gives a guarantee that, if you’re not 100% satisfied, you’ll stay for free.

We recommend the Radisson Blu Hotel Stansted for:

A night to remember - For unique entertainment that you can’t get anywhere else in Europe, look no further than the acrobatic waitresses at Angel’s Wine Tower bar.

Great food - Not one, not two, but three high-quality restaurants will satisfy any appetite.

Spacious rooms - For just that little bit of extra room in your room, the Radisson goes the extra mile.

Staff very helpful. Excellent location to walk to terminal. Car moved and waiting for us at the entrance on return from holiday

One aspect of the hotel description needs to be pointed out to customers. It states that the terminal access is direct via a walkway. It certainly is but for older travellers like ourselves, the ramp is extremely steep and long with a trolley full of luggage. I accept there is a lift but even that is a long trek along a bumpy walkway especially in the early hours.

You can check in from 14:00. If you need to park your car overnight at the hotel, it'll cost you £10. The hotel should be easy to find. Just head towards the airport and you'll find signs for the Radisson Blu on the main roundabout as you arrive.

Checking Out

You need to check out by 12:00 and walk over to the terminal. It's just a short stroll by a covered walkway.
