Current Role

The 19 year old drama student Danny Bayne has been chosen from thousands of hopefuls to play the role of Danny Zuko in David Ian's Grease, it's showing in the Piccadilly theatre in the West End this summer. After beating his strong rival Anthony Kavangah to the punch, Danny is determined to put his own stamp on the role "I want to make Danny Zuko a bit more rock and roll like me!"

Danny has been paired with his original "Sandy" Susan Mc Fadden, the duo were originally teamed in the beginning of the competition and were strong favorites from the start. Grease has already proven popular with the public as advanced tickets are flying out, which means their West End debut is sure to be a roaring success.

Earlier Life

Danny has been nicknamed "triple threat" as he can dance, sing and act, he learnt all of these theatrical talents at the prestigious Italia Conti stage school in which he studied for 5 years.
Although Danny has not had any actual experience on the West End stage he has competed in a number of dance competitions and has performed in a wide range of productions. Nevertheless he has certainly caught the eye of the 'Grease is the Word' judges and won the hearts of the British public.
