Current Role
Lee Mead is the latest reality TV winner, after scooping the role of Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Joseph and The Techinicoloured Dreamcoat", Lee shall hit the West End this summer in his first lead role at the Adelphi Theatre on the 6th of July.
Earlier Life
Although originally from Southend-on-Sea, Lee was living in London when he entered 'Any Dream Will Do. He attended Whitehall Performing Arts College but left of his own accord before graduating.
Stage and Film Career
Lee already had quite a performing history before auditioning for "Any Dream Will Do", despite leaving the performing arts school early Lee was offered many roles on stage. One of the most high profile productions accredited to Lee's CV was the West End version of The Phantom Of The Opera in which he was the understudy for the part of Raoul. Lee has also performed in a number of cabaret shows, cruise ships and in the productions Tommy and Miss Saigon.
Lee's passion for "Joseph and The Technicolour Dreamcoat" began when he landed the understudy role of Pharaoh in the Joseph touring production, he even appeared in this role twice on a West End Stage. Interesting Facts about Lee
Lee's TV credits include a small role in BBC's Murder in Mind and appearing as a dancer in Geri Halliwell's "It's Raining Men" music video.
