Summer Strallen is currently a regular character in C4's Hollyoaks . She plays the strong willed Summer Straw, a budding young starlet who will do whatever it takes to fulfil her dream of becoming famous.
If starring in a popular weekday soap wasn't enough, Summer was also in the middle of a "curious casting sequence of events" at the end of 2007. Hollyoak's cast and viewers were shocked to find out that Summer Strallen had been cast as Maria in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Sound Of Music in the West End and is due to take over from Connie Fisher in February.
