Evita - The Story

The return of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita at the Adeplhi theatre tells the well known life story of Maria Eva Duarte de Peron. The outstanding production chronicles the life and times of Evita, the wife of Argentinean dictator Juan Peron, until her untimely death in 1952. The musical, as with the original musical version and the film, shows the complexity of Eva Peron's life - her love for her people and their overpowering admiration of her, set against the political unrest of Argentina during that time.
