An inspirational new musical by Glenn Berenbeim Imagine This is a stage show like no other. With an emotive, dramatic score, moving lyrics and daring subject matter Imagine This is a truly unique show, not to be missed.
Set in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942 Imagine This tells the story of Daniel Warshowky, a theatre director who assembles a rag-tag cast of his friends and family for his latest production. A production that he hopes will inspire the other inhabitants of the ghetto to imagine a better world than the Nazi-controlled nightmare they inhabit.
Daniel chooses to perform Masada, one of the most famous and inspiring pieces of Jewish history. In a reflection of the ghetto inhabitant's own dire situation, the Masada story tells the tale of 960 Jews committing suicide rather than surrendering to the Romans.
When Adam, a member of the Ghetto's resistance, seeks refuge at Daniel's theatre everything changes - you'll have to buy a ticket to find out how.
The show seamlessly switches between the Masada story and the cast's own world, creating a play within a play. As the story unfolds the boundaries between Daniel's play and the real world become increasingly blurred. The emotive themes of the entire production are effortlessly expressed in the score, lyrics and choreography. It is truly a production to be experienced.
