Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' opens at the Adelphi Theatre on July 17th 2007. The classic family musical makes a hugely anticipated return to the West End, following on from the BBC talent show 'Any Dream Will Do'. The show sees a panel of judges auditioning 12 prospective Josephs, with the winner set to star in the West End production.
Joseph - The Story
The story is based on the biblical tale of Joseph, from the book of Genesis. Joseph is sold as a slave by his brothers, who are jealous of his father's favouritism towards him - his amazing technicolor dreamcoat is a symbol of this. Joseph learns to interpret dreams and predicts the impending famine, leading to him being given amazing power by the Pharaoh. Joseph's brothers head to Egypt to beg for food and help during the famine, and inadvertently come across Joseph. How will Joseph react to the reunion? Buy tickets with Holiday Extras® to find out!
