Based on the hit Aussie film, the outrageous musical version of Priscilla Queen of the Desert has finally arrived in London's West End!
Following Tick (Jason Donovan) and his ramshackle brace of cross-dressing mates across the barren Australian Outback, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a remarkable story about friendship and individuality.
Please note that this production is not suitable for young children.
The story begins with Tick (Jason Donovan), a struggling drag queen trying to make a name for himself as a performer in Sydney. Down on his luck, everything seems to be going wrong for Tick until a call comes through from a casino in Alice Springs. They want to book Tick's act for a four week run!
Undeterred by the 2016km of arid Australian desert that separates Sydney from Alice Springs, Tick rounds up his transsexual friend Bernadette (Tony Sheldon) and party-dude Adam (Oliver Thornton) and the trio of misfits take off across the Outback in Priscilla, a rusty and clapped out old bus.
The hilarious and touching story can then unfold with a barrage of unforgettable disco hits by the likes of Gloria Gaynor and Thelma Houston. It's got glitz, it's got glamour, it's got simply everything!
Australian singer and actor Jason Donovan will star as Tick (and Mitzi) until May, 2010.
