Sister Act - The Musical

Based on the hit 1992 film Sister Act, this feel-good new musical is produced by the one and only Whoopi Goldberg, star of the original film. With a disco-inspired score by the phenomenal Alan Menken, Sister Act is certain to delight all comers.

Sister Act - The Story

When sassy disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a gangland murder she is placed in the witness protection programme in the one place nobody would think to look for her - a convent!.

Disguised as a nun, Deloris struggles with a lifestyle completely alien to her, rules and obedience are not things she takes kindly to and a stern, uptight Mother Superior makes life no easier. Deloris eventually finds an outlet; the convent's choir. Using her unique disco moves and heavenly singing talent she reinvigorates the choir, its members and the local community but her efforts do not go unnoticed. Eventually, the gang come after her, what they don't bargain for however, is the power of friendship and Deloris' new 'sisters'.

Talented actress Sheila Hancock stars as Mother Superior.
