The Fantasticks is a romantic and charming tale loosely based on Edmond Rostand's play The Romancers. Incorporating themes from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Fantasticks tells the story of two neighbouring fathers who forbid their children to see each other, hoping this will actually push them to fall in love.
The Fantasticks has enjoyed great success since it first opened in New York almost 50 years ago and is the longest running production in the United States. A superb romantic tale, The Fantasticks will soon be entertaining audiences at London's Duchess Theatre.
