How to Get to Alton Towers Resort

Alton Towers Resort is located in Alton, Staffordshire, around fifteen miles to the east of Stoke on Trent and around twenty miles to the north west of Derby. The theme park is easily reachable from the M1 and M6 motorways, but it does lie in a rural area, so it will be necessary to get some directions.

By Car

• From the South take M1 Junction 24 or M6 Junction 16, and follow the signs to Alton Towers Resort.
• From the North take M1 Junction 23a or M6 Junction 15 and follow the signs.

By Rail

The nearest train station to Alton Towers Resort is Uttoxeter or directly to Stoke on Trent, with regular bus services from there to the park. For train times and fares, call National Rail enquiries on 08457 48 49 50. (24 hrs, call may be recorded, local call rate applies).
