New at Alton Towers in 2008
New for Alton Towers in 2008 is the new pirate themed zone Mutiny Bay. Set to make a splash when it debuts this all new zone will have some great rides such as Battle Galleons and Heave-Ho. Battle Galleons is the centre piece of the new zone, and launches you into the eight ship melee armed with a water cannon to spray your friends and family! As well as the rides there are sideshows, live entertainment, shops and restaurants to keep the family busy.

Alton Towers opens on the 15th of March and is open every day from 10:00 until 18:00.
How to Get to Alton Towers
Alton Towers is located in Alton, Staffordshire, around fifteen miles to the east of Stoke on Trent and around twenty miles to the north west of Derby. The theme park is easily reachable from the M1 and M6 motorways, but it does lie in a rural area, so it will be necessary to get some directions.
By Car
From the South take M1 Junction 24 or M6 Junction 16, and follow the signs to Alton Towers. From the North take M1 Junction 23a or M6 Junction 15 and follow the signs. Parking at Alton Towers costs £4.
By Rail
