THORPE PARK is the UK's most thrilling theme park, and it's not hard to see why from these rides! Some are fast and furious, some swing you high and low, and one will also get you very wet - one thing is for sure, they'll all get your heart racing as you encounter some incredible forces!
The Unholy Trinity of roller coasters are THORPE PARK's top three thrill rides. They're for the very fearless only, and the tracks will take you through inversions, loops, twists, and drops at incredible speeds. Please click on one of the buttons above to find out more about THORPE PARK's top thrill rides.
THORPE PARK is also famous for its number of other thrill rides. Most of these are located in the Lost City area of the theme park, although Detonator is in Calypso Quay near Nemesis Inferno, Tidal Wave is located next to Stealth in Amity Cove, and Slammer is in Canada Creek near to Loggers Leap. If you can't find them then you need to just follow the screams!
Storm Surge new for 2011 - Brave Storm Surge, the ultimate sky-high spinning water ride and hold on tight as you go round the twist and lose control down the 64ft spiraling descent.
SAW - The Ride - Truly awesome. This, the world's most terrifying rollercoaster launched at THORPE PARK in 2009. With a drop of over 100 feet, and a horror theme, this really is unsuitable for the faint hearted!
Detonator - A free falling tower ride that will send you to a height of 100 feet, before dropping you at over 45 mph - you'll go through a force of 5.5G!
Quantum - A classic magic carpet ride, that will turn you over and put you through some tremendous airtime.
Samurai - A six armed machine that spins and twists as it rotates - make sure you have a strong stomach!
Rush - The third biggest playground swing in the world. A hydraulic charge from heights of 75 feet facing downwards, to the same height facing upwards. In a word - terrifying!
Slammer - Like a giant fly swat, this ride simply flips you over and over as it turns. Then it stops, hangs you upside down, then turns the other way and repeats the process!
Tidal Wave - The UK's wettest water ride has an 85 foot drop that makes your boat travel at 45 mph, before hitting the lagoon below. The boat has a bulldozer on the front so it causes one almighty splash!
Vortex - Sit on a giant claw that spins as you are swung to a tall height. You'll get a great view of the park if you can keep your eyes open for long enough!
X: No Way Out - An incredibly unique and equally terrifying roller coaster. Ever thought about going on a roller coaster backwards and in the dark? Ride this to see what it's like.
Zodiac - Be sent on a high speed spin, you'll go through a massive amount of inversions without the safety of restraints!
