The hotel does not have a lift. I was travelling with my elderly mother and we were allocated adjacent rooms on the first floor down several long corridors. The receptionist changed my mother's room immediately on request to a room on the ground floor, very near to the reception area and facilities. The hotel manager was visible throughout the evening of our stay and was attentive and friendly. The proximity of the hotel to the terminal building means that transfers take literally five minutes. I would definitely stay there again.

On arrival back at EMA, a courteous and friendly driver handled our luggage then drove the short distance to the Thistle Hotel, in time for a nightcap at the bar. Although the hotel is on the airport, thanks to the double glazing, we heard no aircraft during the night to disturb our sleep. Well done Thistle EMA !
