When you stay at the Heathrow Holiday Inn Ariel, you can rest assured that you can be at the airport check-in desk in as little as ten minutes. What better excuse to make the most of those very last moments before you leave for the bustle of holiday travel.

By car: From the M4, exit at junction 4 and follow the signs for Heathrow terminals 1 and 3. Continue to the junction with the A4 Bath Road and turn left, following signs for terminal 4 and Central London. Continue along the A4, passing the Texaco petrol station, Radisson and Marriott hotels. The hotel is on your left immediately after the junction with the A437 High Street Harlington; to enter the car park, turn left onto the A437 and take the first exit on the right.

By public transport: The Holiday Inn Ariel is easily reached from the mainline and Piccadilly Line stations at terminals 1 and 3. From the station you have the option of the Hoppa bus H6 direct to the hotel; there are two services per hour and tickets purchased at the bus station cost £4 one way per adult with children under 15 travelling free. Note that tickets purchased on the bus cost £4.50 one way and £8 return. Heathrow Hoppa buses run between 4am and 11pm.

You can also take a local bus 105, 111 or 140 directly to the hotel; the Holiday Inn Ariel is the last stop on the Bath Road free travel sector, so if you’re not too encumbered by luggage this can be a very cost-effective option. The 105, 111 and 140 are all high-frequency, 24-hour services; additionally night bus N9 runs three times an hour between midnight and 6am.

A taxi direct to the Holiday Inn Ariel from terminals 1 and 3 costs around £8 excluding luggage.

To and from the airport

Heathrow Hoppa bus H6 travels between the Holiday Inn Ariel and terminals 1 and 3 every 20 to 30 minutes between 4.17am and 11.16pm. Check Hoppa times with the hotel front desk as frequency does vary throughout the day. Hoppa buses usually take around 10 minutes to reach the central bus station; do allow extra time during rush hour as the A4 does get busy. If you’re travelling light it’s also possible to travel on local buses 105, 111 or 140 for free as far as the central bus station for terminals 1 and 3. Night bus N9 will also drop you here between midnight and 6am.

To terminals 4 and 5 options are more limited. A Hoppa bus H56 travels every 30 minutes from the Ariel to terminals 4 and 5 between 4am and 11.30pm Hoppa tickets cost £4 one way or £7 return in advance – buy a ticket from the Hoppa ticket machine in reception. Tickets bought directly from the driver cost £4.50 one way or £8 return; children under 15 accompanied by a paying adult travel free.

There are no direct local buses to terminal 4 at any time. Between midnight and 6am a night bus N9 will take you to terminal 5 for free; there are no day buses direct to terminal 5.

A taxi to terminal 4 will cost around £10 excluding extras like luggage or night fares; to terminal 5 the fare will cost around £12.
