Driving down the cost of your holiday

The Ibis Hotel is the closest hotel to the airport, so not only will you be receiving great-value-for money on your hotel stay but when you book parking with Airparks as well, you really are getting the best package available.

Airparks Luton

If you thought the price for the Ibis Hotel was already outstandingly low, you'll love our hotel and parking package at Airparks Luton. You can pair your stay with eight or 15 days' parking at this popular off-airport car park, which is only 10 minutes from Luton airport.

Airparks Luton is a secured car park that is protected by CCTV, fencing, barriers and regular staff patrols. It also holds the Park Mark, a security award accredited by the police. Airparks runs a free 24-hour shuttle bus to and from the terminal every 15 minutes, and the journey takes around 10 minutes.

When you arrive:

You'll need to drive to Airparks first and drop your car off. The Airparks shuttle bus, which runs to the terminal, will then drop you off at the bus stop less than 200 yards the hotel. You will need to leave your car keys with Airparks.

Pull up at the entrance barrier, which will lift after a few seconds. Park in one of the arrivals bays, then head into the check-in building. You check yourself in using the machines - it's a very quick process. You'll just need to have a copy of your booking confirmation with you - and there's a member of staff on hand to help if you need it.

The machine will give you a tag, which you should attach to your keys, and a ticket, which you should keep safe as you'll need it later. Drop your keys in the box with the same number as the lane you've parked in. Your car will be parked for you, so just head to the waiting area and hop on the bus to the airport. You'll need to show your ticket to the driver and explain that you want to get off at the hotel bus stop, not the terminal. The bus stop is less than 200 yards from the hotel. The bus runs every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, and takes 13 minutes. You can check into the hotel from 14:00.

When you return:

The shuttle bus back to the car park leaves from outside the terminal. You'll need to show the ticket you were given when you checked in to the driver.

Make your way to the check-out shelter and follow the instructions on the key dispenser - again, it's a very quick process. The machine will give you your car key back and show you on the screen where your car is. Then just drive to the exit barrier - you'll need to scan the barcode attached to your keys, then the barrier will lift.

Ibis with parking at Airparks room-only procedures

On the day of your stay

Drive to Airparks and when you arrive, drive into the car photo booth. A member of the team will check you in while you stay in your car and then direct you to the relevant parking zone. You'll be given a ticket which you need to keep safe. Keep hold of your car keys and make a note of where you've parked for when you get back.

The included shuttle bus runs to the terminal (stopping by the hotel) regularly, 24 hours a day. It takes around 14 minutes.

Getting from the hotel to the airport

On the day of your flight check out of the hotel and make your way to the airport. You can walk it in 7-10 minutes.

You can also catch the Arriva bus. It costs £1.60 per person each way and takes about 3 minutes. Check with hotel upon arrival regarding public bus transfer times, as the timetable varies depending on the day of the week.

Coming home

The shuttle buses back to the car park leave from bay R. You'll need to show the ticket you were given at check-in to the driver

Collect your car and drive to the exit barrier - you'll need to insert your ticket to scan the barcode on your ticket, and then the barrier will lift.
