The lounge was too busy with no tables available and the few that could be found had not been cleared. Food was in short supply, of poor quality and cold. Bar service was pitifully slow with a 25 minute queue for drinks. It was a truly miserable experience.

Lounge very busy no cutlery had to wait 25 mins to get a spoon drinks and staff good but to many passengers in lounge holiday extras were very good to deal with would recommend them didn’t lounge was value for money

The lounge was disgusting the air con wasn’t working no fizzy drinks as pump not working hardly and food no cutlery my children had to use a tea mug to have a cup of juice as no glasses

The food choices could be better & the curry could be hotter with heat I booked the lounge as a surprise for my fiance; but unfortunately he dosnt like craft beer; & that was the only beer on offer to drink. Staff could be a bit more happier when serving & I did have to complain about the state of the ladies toilets.

We booked a lounge from 11.45 for 3 hrs to see us through to out 2pm flight. The lounge closed at 1pm. They had run out of all their breakfast food and noone knew how to order anything as there were no menus or signs to tell people what they needed to do. We spent over £100 for some toast and cold drinks. Very disappointed.

I think the lounge capacity was far too over sold. When we got on there there was no where for us to sit. We eventually found somewhere but then watched lots of families having to split up to find somewhere to eat. I was disappointed with the breakfast on off too to be honest. Very limited selection of hot breakfast. I also thought you could easily supply a better selection of pastries other than just croissants. Children were disappointed there wasn’t any chocolate on offer for the pancakes. I also queued for 15 mins at the bar to get a drink. I have had much better experiences in lounges in the past so it’s a shame I left feeling disappointed.

Nothing you can do but was very very busy and the air conditioning had broken so pretty uncomfortable. Only one bar person serving too so queue was long and slow

Main lounge was closed and everyone was put into alternate lounge, far too many customers, nowhere near enough staff (who were doing their best). Overcrowded lounge with limited food offered. Uncleared tables, overworked staff. No AC one end of the lounge. Def not worth the money paid.

We booked the gateway by easy jet & no1 lounge for Thursday 11th august 4 am . The easy jet lounge was not open so was just the no1 lounge Would just like to tell you how appalling it was . There was nothing luxurious about this experience, firstly we qued for 15 minutes to get in, the hot food didn’t come out until 4.30. Then it was like a school canteen with a huge Que of tired travellers . The pancake machine wasn’t work and staff wasn’t bothered , so my children didn’t eat anything as wanted pancakes . The Que to the bar was just the same . All in a very tiring experience. There was far too many people booked in at the same time , we have been better off staying at the Wetherspoons and at least then getting table service . Very disappointed and a waste of money and time .

We booked the lounge as an extra as we thought it would be an enjoyable experience away from the hustle & bustle of the airport, however it seemed so busy that a lot of people were standing - it appeared it had been overbooked and at times was manic. The air conditioning was on not either, despite another traveller asking for it to be out on so it was hot in there too, combined with the amount of people in there. The food and drink available was good but this experience has put me off booking it again.

We arrived as the lounge was opening because we had a very early flight. The system for admitting people seemed very poor, and took a very long time per person. This meant a long wait in a queue for about 20 mins for a simple scan of a barcode. Inside was too busy for the seating; for lounges to be worthwhile they shouldn’t be cramped; too many people were allowed to book and enter - you book a time slot, either too many are allowed in per slot, or people are turning up but not being turned away. Food was ok, but long queues again to get anything hot; again too many people are probably allowed in. It all makes the idea of a lounge a waste of money because it’s no different from being in the main part of the airport anyway. I would book again, but maybe a different lounge, if I found out time slots were properly organised, or fewer people were allowed to book them.

The lounge we booked was closing early so we were upgraded to another lounge. This lounge was overcrowded with no where to sit and there wasn’t enough staff to cater for everyone.

We arrived and got greeted with a warm welcome and a bright smile. We enjoyed it very much. Was a great start to a fantastic holiday but they ran out of prosecco unfortunately ????.

We were upgraded, which was nice, because we were told the one we booked closed at 1pm although the website said it was open until 9pm. The upgraded one had nice food, the staff were polite and drinks plentiful but some of the upholstery was very very worn and the toilets were out of paper and none too tidy. If I had paid the higher amount I would have been a bit miffed but as it was an upgrade it was fine.

We arrived 15 mins early as had been quick to get through we were not allowed to enter early which is ok but the member of staff who told us this was not very polite when telling and started saying something else about booking only for exactly 2hrs before you fly which would be ridiculous as then you would be leaving after an hour and e0 to make your way to gate not impressed. I have used the lounge on many occasions but felt let down this time

Currently awaiting a response and a refund from your team. Absolutely awful experience, had to queue for over 50 mins for hot food. Complained to the manager who said it was due to supply issues and they had to source the food elsewhere and were having trouble cooking it. Food was disgusting when it eventually came out and half of it that had been sat there for 50 mins was cold. Ordered 2 drinks at the bar that they didnt have, once again i was told this was down to not receiving deliveries. Totally unaccpetable.

This experience was not a great one for us. They had clearly booked in too many people & they seemed short staffed. The buffet food was not popular dishes & was also cold. Had to wait for plates & then again for cutlery which seemed dirty to touch as though not washed properly. Lounge was so busy, we had to sit in the dining area with plastic chairs & tables. May as well have sat in a restaurant in the main part of airport for better comfort. One bar staff on, so we got one drink the whole time we were in there as my husband had to spend most of the time queueing at the bar. Then my glass felt & smelt dirty. Everything ran out quickly as too many people, but with only 1 very busy & still smiling waitress, we had to wait for everything. There was a very efficient person clearing the empties but took my drink before I’d finished & told me it had nearly gone anyway when I questioned it. The one drink we’d queued ages for! Not worth the money at all, shocking service & unclean. Would not recommend to anyone.

The lounge was chaos. Nowhere to sit. Tables were dirty. Food stations were dirty, plates that were available had food stains on. Hardly any staff, toilets were dirty, fruit flys all around the bar. Would never book again. Completely different experience to same lounge at Stansted which was organised and clean. Seats should be allocated.

Dirty floors, flies around us whilst sitting in the lounge, queue to wait for service at the bar as only 1 person serving, although another person would appear from time to time but he never stayed to help the young lady with reducing the queue at all.

The lounge was dirty, no food, waited ages for drinks and not worth the money. No air conditioning so really warm in there. We booked the No1 lounge as the last two time we have travelled this year we went in the Plaza lounge which I have to say was equally as bad. The food choice was awful with nothing for kids or if any one who didn’t like the style of food served which seems to be the same in both lounges all the time. The longe was dirty with food I’ve the floor, hardly anywhere to sit. I wouldn’t recommend or to be honest bother with the lounge again.

There was a lack of staff and a lack of food. The lounge was dirty and a lot of the furniture was worn. No physical papers or magazines available to read. My family as well as others went elsewhere to purchase food. This was a very disappointing experience.

The No 1 lounge at Gatwick North was a mess. Food area empty, dirty and over run. Complete waste of money and virtually no food suitable for younger kids. 9+12 The staff were working hard but the food was pretty dire. The majority of people were in there to get drunk and the bar was noisy and rammed. Definitely not child or family friendly. I’d love a refund but assume I won’t be getting one.

The staff who spoke with me were very helpful especially so when our flight was changed from Heathrow to Gatwick and there changed the booking did the paperwork/ computer work and we were able to enjoy the start of our holiday stress free .

We arrived at the lounge on time to find it was closed. We waited, along with several other passengers for around one hour, no one came to open the lounge or even tell us why it was closed. Eventually someone came along at 05:45 to say the lounge would open at 06:00 which was too late for us as we had to be at our departure gate then. I have emailed holiday extras twice to as for a full refund and had nothing back yet, 15 days after we were booked into the lounge. Absolutely appalling service.

I was very disappointed as our flight was 6 am and therefore had booked the longe from the opening time of 4am . A large queue soon began to form as the lounge did not then open until 4 25 am . We were unable to have the full benefit of what we paid for , especially as between my two bookings there were 6 of us

The food was not good well understaffed blamed it on the night before the football with 7 staff not turning in poor excuse, tables not cleared not worth the money we had to get food from outside

We booked a Lounge for 1.00 pm We were refused entry even though we had how confirmation letter with us we were told to come back at 2.00 pm bearing in mind our flight was at 4.00 with gates closing at 3.30 we booked the easy jet for there selection of food even though your paperworwork day shuts at 4.00pm was shut when we arrived at 1.00pm and was told to use a different lounge this contained food that we was unable to eat the food was of an international type curry’s rice etc the beer was undrinkable and the staff was rude

There was a delay getting into the lounge as there was a slight queue & the receptionist had trouble signing us in. Whilst I appreciate that the lounge was very busy, nobody seemed to be monitoring the hot buffet or indeed the supply of cutlery & glasses etc. I was travelling with a party of 6 & we had to ask for items that had run out to be re- stocked on several occasions. I have used the equivalent lounge in the South terminal & felt that it was managed a little better. Overall we were disappointed with our experience & felt that the charge was not justified with the quality of food etc that we re eived

For what you get at the lounge is works out as value for money we were greeted with a glass of fizz then we were given a tour and then we just tucked in and the staff are all very friendly and helpful

The lounge was very busy when we arrived but the queue moved quickly and we managed to find a table. Food and drink selection was pretty good, better than a more expensive lounge I have used previously. We moved to the library area, which was meant to be for over 12’s only. This area was nicely presented but no one was in forcing the age restriction so lots of kids with tablets blaring….that was a shame as it would have been a nice place to relax otherwise.
