Mail On Sunday Compare Airport Parking

Holiday Extras affiliate site Compare Airport Parking has been recognised by the Mail on Sunday as a significant money saver for travellers. Holiday Extras is delighted to be part of a team now acknowledged twice in the National press since the new website was introduced in February.

The feature in The Mail on Sunday (19th March edition) by journalist Fred Mawer focused on the varying prices of additional holiday services like insurance, car hire and Airport Parking .

Mawer investigated booking prices through the airline websites for easyJet, bmibaby and Ryanair and with price comparison sites such as compare-airport-parking. He found that, although the airlines do not provide these additional services, they claim commission for all bookings through their site. "In 2005 easyJet earned £87 million from what it calls 'ancillary revenue' - much of it from it's cut on bookings made via the website for hotels, car hire and so forth". The price the customer pays is therefore much greater than booking direct through the service providers' website. Mawer recommended booking 'flights only' through the airline websites saying sites such as Compare Airport Parking "can save you a lot of money".

Holiday Extras are proud to be a part of Compare Airport Parking and, likewise, will continue striving to bring customers the best deal.
