Virgin Atlantic has recently announced that it will double its daily service to Hong Kong from once to twice daily. As one of the world's leaders in long-haul flights, Virgin will be creating an additional 100 cabin crew jobs to provide for the extra flights.
Virgin has seen a massive demand on the Heathrow to Hong Kong route making it the third most popular long-haul destination from Heathrow, behind New York and Dubai. The new service is expected to add much-needed flexibility for passengers travelling to Sydney or the Far East.
The additional flights will complement the current service that Virgin offers as Steve Ridgway, Chief Executive of Virgin Atlantic explains: "East is the new West and this second daily service will offer our passengers even more opportunities via Hong Kong".
"Virgin Atlantic, which is highly committed to the city and the Pearl River Delta, has flown well over 2 million passengers on this route since we started flying in 1994 and it remains one of our most popular services.
