Parking at London City Airport is not a cheap affair but you can chip more off the price tag by booking Butterfly Meet and Greet parking with Holiday Extras.

We have chosen this service for its wonderful convenience - just drive into the terminal car park (taking a ticket at the barrier) and meet your Butterfly driver who will transfer your car to their nearby secured car park for the duration of your trip. They will bring your car back on your return date so you can collect it and head home without delay.

Avoid the hassle of buses with Butterfly's handy Meet and Greet service.

Need to know

Call the car park when you're about 20 minutes away to let them know you're on your way. This is important as if your car spends too long at the car park you may receive a fine.

Once you arrive at the airport, drive to the On-site car park (previously the Long Stay). You'll get to a barrier where you need to take a ticket. Drive in and park in a space. A uniformed Butterfly driver will meet you and take your keys and the ticket from the barrier.

Unload your luggage and walk to check-in, a 3-5 minute walk away.

After you've landed in the UK, call Butterfly to let them know you're back. Pick up your luggage and walk back to the On-site car park where a driver will meet you with your car.

You'll receive a ticket so you can exit the car park - you'll need to pay an exit fee. If your car leaves within 10 minutes of it arriving at the car park the fee is £3.50. If it leaves within 30 minutes, you'll need to pay £8.00. After this it's £5.00 for every 5 minutes.

Accessibility

This service is suitable for customers with limited mobility, as a shuttle bus isn't needed.

Security

While you're away your car will be at a secured Park Mark awarded site.

The small print

The car park is open from 5am - 10pm Monday - Friday and 11am - 10pm on Sunday. You can only drop off your car within these times. You cannot drop off or collect your car on Saturdays as the car park is closed.

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2m entry barrier and are less than 2.5m wide.

Your car must be in a legal roadworthy condition with full insurance, road tax and MOT otherwise you may be liable for extra costs paid by the car park.

On your return you'll need to show your booking confirmation, ticket and pay any parking charges or Butterfly may not be able to return your car to you. You must report any damage to your vehicle before you leave.

You'll need to arrive as close to your booked time as possible. In extreme cases, if you're more than 20 minutes late, you may be charged a £30 waiting fee. It's important that you call Butterfly 20 minutes before you arrive at the airport to avoid any extra charges.

Exit fees:

On your return you'll need to pay an exit fee to leave the car park. If your car leaves within 10 minutes of it arriving at the car park the fee is £3.50. If it leaves within 30 minutes, you'll need to pay £8.00. After this it's £5.00 for every 5 minutes.

Don't forget to print your booking confirmation and take it with you as the car park will need to see this when you arrive.
