Passengers from Kent can now catch a direct train from Ashford and Maidstone to Luton airport.
The new service, which runs from Monday to Friday, leaves Ashford at 6.23am and arrives at Luton Airport Parkway at 8.50am.
It calls at Charing, Lenham, Harrietsham, Hollingbourne and Bearsted before getting to Maidstone East at 6.52am.
It then calls at Barming, East Malling, West Malling, Borough Green and Wrotham, Kemsing, Otford, Swanley and Bromley South, then continues on through London, with stops including Blackfriars and St Pancras.
The train then goes through Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, stopping at Luton itself as well as Luton Airport Parkway, before terminating at Bedford at 9.18am.
The return train leaves Luton Airport Parkway at 5.12pm, getting to Maidstone at 7.08pm and Ashford at 7.37pm. There is an additional stop on the way back at St Mary Cray.
The service has been introduced because a new station is being built at London Blackfriars, and the platforms where trains would normally terminate are closed, so Southeastern services which would normally terminate there are continuing on through the capital.
