We couldn't get out the barrier when leaving without ringing and speaking to an operator. It's meant to work more smoothly than that.

Excellent facilities but the re g reader had difficulty as the reg plate is on the left on my Alfa Romeo. I pressed the button for help and the man on the other end checked details and opened the gate within about seconds.

When I arrived the number plate scanner didn't read my car registration plate, however when I pressed the button for assistance I was helped out in no time at all.

That's the last twice the number plate recognition system failed to work. I had to buzz the desk on the inside on both occasions. The second time I had to wait on someone coming to the gait to check my details.

Slightly unsure of what was happening as we approached car park as no signs up to explain procedure, however got to a space and park and then asked it info desk on arrival to terminal who explained All was well and nothing further required to do as registration plate recognition was in place for leaving at the end of our use of carpark.

On arrival we could not gain entry to the short term parking area directly in front of the terminal that we had expected (as for). Plenty of spaces, but the barrier would not lift. After some confusion (poor signposting, very early morning and in a hurry to catch flight) we ended up parking in an area further away - about the same distance as for the long term car park, still not sure if we were in the right place. On return, at the barrier we could see the number plate recognition device, but where to show the bar code on my phone ? The machine did not seem to have any clear "present bar code here" indication, and the operator was grumpy (but to be fair, so was I by this time after 4.5 hours on a plane and just wanting to get home).

Only problem was on leaving,a number of drivers did not seem to understand the exit process or there was a problem when paying. There were two lanes exiting and a considerable jam up in both lanes for to minutes.

No recognition of number plate on arrival, had to verbally arrange entry On departure no exit allowed had to reverse out took a while to ove cars behind me. Had to go round to "hut" and wake up attendant to arrange exit

Arrived at barrier but as it did not raise right away I thought I was at the wrong one so reversed out then drove back in again. A man appeared and explained that I never gave it time to read plate and he gave me a ticket to use on my return. I would suggest that you should advise travellers to wait at barrier to give it a chance to read the number plate.I would certainly use the park again.
