Aegean Airlines have commenced operation of their twice daily flights to the Greek capital Athens while Lithuanian Airlines now fly direct to Vilinius, the European Capital of Culture 2009. The new services look to add more passengers to Stansted's ever growing number of travelers and the future looks set to bring more flights and people to the London hub.
Strategy and Solutions director Nick Barton stated: "Athens and Vilnius are just two of 11 connections to join our European network in the past couple of months and we're also looking forward to welcoming links to Bezier in the Languedoc region of France, and Italy's popular coastal retreat of Rimini, when Ryanair start their direct services from here next month."
