Tell me about Thomson Airways

Thomson Airways, based at Luton Airport, was established in 1962 and is now the UK's largest charter airline. They operate a comprehensive website, and, besides flights, offer package holidays and hotel stays in numerous resorts around the world. With a fleet of 77 planes flying to more than 80 destinations, you can be sure that you're in safe and experienced hands.

What does Thomson Airways do for its disabled passengers?

Disabled passengers are advised to telephone Thomson Airway's Customer Service team before making their booking to talk through their requirements and organise any bespoke arrangements that may be necessary. They tailor their service to each individual passenger to ensure that standards are always at their highest. Thomson is also happy to offer assistance to wheelchair passengers free of charge and will transport your wheelchair in addition to your normal baggage allowance. For your convenience, electronically powered wheelchairs will be accepted for travel.

Has Thomson Airways won any other awards?

In June 2011, Thomson Airways won the esteemed Best Leisure Airline category at the World Airline Awards, beating 200 other global airlines to scoop the prestigious award. It is the second year running that Thomson has won Best Leisure Airline, and the results were based on feedback received from customers.
