A family room at Gatwick airport will have everything you and your family needs, eliminating any hassle and getting your holiday off to a perfect start. Family rooms vary depending on the hotel you visit. Some offer rooms consisting of a double bed with two singles, while others have a sofa bed and a double bed. For those travelling with a baby, some hotels offer cots free of charge. If you need to add a cot to your family room, simply give us a call and leave all the arrangements to us.
When travelling with children, you will need a hotel that caters for the whole family. The Gatwick Hilton has been working with child nutritionist Annabel Karmel to create a new kids' menu. Children under the age of 10 also eat free, a real money saver for parents before the holiday begins.
Alternatively, you could visit the Gatwick Russ Hill. This hotel features excellent value meals served between 5pm and 10pm, ideal for the whole family. Better still, it's friendly on the wallet, saving you money to spend on holiday.
Remember, you can also book hotel meals in advance as part of our hotel upgrades. For example, booking your evening meal at the Gatwick Hilton in advance enables you to save £14.95 per person. Look out for our full selection of hotel upgrades during the booking process.
Holiday Inn We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The bed provided for the children to sleep in was a single bed. Therefore 3 of us had to sleep in the double bed which resulted in no sleep.

Hilton We were upgraded to a family room. Our stay was perfect, very comfortable and quiet.

Sandman Signature Purple Parking is excellent. Sandman hotel rather disappointing and rather tired decor. Why do they put two people who requested a double room in a cramped family room with two redundant bunk beds?
Mr Dickson ( out of 5)
Sandman Signature We have stayed here once before and it was fine even with the building works going on. Unfortunately we were given a family room with a connecting door to the next room. In normal circumstances this would have been fine but the people in the room decided to party with there mates until around 2/3am. We asked them to stop but after 5mins all was back to normal and we heard someone else complain as well but to no effect. We got no response from the hotel. Food was very basic and the coffee was awful.
Also the guy at purple parking on our return handed me the keys and said your vehicle is in the centre lane the other side of the bus. Well, we couldn't find it. So I went back and asked him to be more specific and he told me rather sarcastically that it was in row G. We eventually found itm at the end of G near the raised parking area. I doubt very much if we will use either again. So all in all hotel and parking not great!

Cambridge we did ask for a twin room on a lower floor but got a family room in the attic. Phoned for transport back to hotel. we had to wait 30 mins for the bus and then he did a detour to pick up a hotel worker from the nearby town. In all 50 mins to get back to pick up car.

Cambridge We booked 3 family rooms with you with one of the rooms with a cot, when we arrived one of the rooms was not a family room and didn't have a cot, without out any fuss the room was amediiatly changed, will definitely be booking again with you next year.

Sandman Signature Hotel was very comfortable. Had a family room which was fine. Check in was fine. Had a meal in the restaurant which was average for the price paid. Service in the bar was really good and staff friendly.

Sofitel We thought we had booked a family room but this wasn't the case so had to book a separate room.

Holiday Inn Hotel staff were good. Only criticism is that when you book a family room, stating 4 occupants and giving the ages (i.e. and 7), would prefer the extra bed to be not a lumpy mattress on a sofa bed frame.
Hotel is convenient to Gatwick with good transfer bus service and the Meet and Greet Parking package worked well too.

Best Western Skylane When we arrived staff at reception were very friendly and efficient. Our family room consisting of a double and single bed was pleasant and clean. Coffee and tea facilities included and the room was spacious.
Our car was taken care of for the nights and was ready for us when we came back off of holiday.
We were very impressed with the shear ease in which everything went. As a family we will be using this hotel again next year when we fly off again.

Straight forward check in lovely room as there weren't any family rooms available food in sports bar was ok a limited choice but at nearly 10 pm wasn't too concerned. On return car had been moved and front bumper scuffed ( didn't raise it at 11pm too tired)which spoilt what was otherwise a good experience

Russ Hill Staff told us we had booked a double and not a family room and when we told them we booked a family room through holiday extras they said that was why. There were no family rooms! When we insisted on our booked family room they somehow found one which was fine
