Great prices with Holiday Extras
Describing a hotel as generous might sound odd - but we couldn't do justice any other way to the unstinting value for money that the modern, upmarket Hampton by Hilton London Luton airport offers.
Continental or Hot breakfast, free; internet throughout the hotel, free; the 24-hour mini-gym, free; transport to the airport, free. In your room, too, there are more little extras than you can shake the remote control for the 32-inch HD TV at - air conditioning, a power shower, toiletries and an extra sofa bed, so the room can sleep up to four. This is a hotel that wouldn't so much give you its last Rolo as the entire packet - and, just like chocolate, a stay here is guaranteed to get those feel good chemicals buzzing round your brain. Roadworks will be causing delays at the M1, junction 10 regularly throughout 2014, so we suggest you allow extra time for your journey to Luton airport hotels.

Pasta, baked potatoes, noodles and waffles - it's carb-heaven in the Hampton by Hilton's restaurant, which is open from 11am until 10pm daily.
You won't be able to tuck into a three-course meal - there are no starters, and the menu is mainly lighter options like sandwiches, soup and salads, although there are a few more substantial options, like vegetarian lasagne with garlic and herb ciabatta bites, and the cheese and bacon burger. It's good value, too - prices start from £4.95, and there's a children's menu too.
We like the sound of the mixed combo for one - potato wedges, mozzarella in breadcrumbs, cheese-stuffed jalapenos and salad, with barbecue and sweet chilli sauces. And yes, we'd be having waffles, vanilla pod ice cream and chocolate sauce for pudding.
If you do fancy a bigger meal, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, including a Pizza Express, the King's Head pub and a Chinese.
Continental breakfast is served from 4.30am to 10am - tuck into muffins, cereal and toast, as well as tea, coffee and fruit juice. From 6am there's hot food, including bacon, eggs, baked beans and hash browns.
