easyJet to increase Gatwick flights

April 22, 2009

easyJet has today announced plans to increase the number of flights operating from Gatwick Airport this summer.

Additional flights to the popular destinations of Split, Dalaman, Bodrum, Mykonos, Montpellier and Toulouse will come into operation from July 17, just in time to accommodate British travellers setting out on their summer holidays.

Paul Simmons, easyJet's UK regional general manager, said: "easyJet has grown dramatically at Gatwick over the last few years by offering its familiar combination of low fares with care and convenience and has grown to be our biggest single airport base.

"Given the range of services we offer, from speedy boarding to the best hand baggage allowance in the business, it's not surprising that passengers are flocking to easyJet in record numbers."

The UK's largest airline, easyJet will also be adding an additional aircraft at Gatwick, taking the total number of aircraft at the site to 39.

The flights go on sale today (April 22). To book, visit www.easyJet.com.
