Holiday demand prompts flight increase

An increase in travellers looking for an autumn getaway has led to one travel company announcing extra flights from Aberdeen Airport.

Teleticket Scotland has added a seven-night break to Palma and one to Faro this October, plus an additional flight service to Tenerife.

Neil Chapman of Teleticket Scotland said: "With three years of flying from Aberdeen under our belt and the success of our flights to Tenerife, we wanted to enhance our flight programme from Aberdeen Airport.

"By adding destinations such as Palma and Faro this autumn we are continuing to offer traditionally favourite destinations at traditionally favourite holiday times. With prices which compare favourably with departures from other Scottish airports, we are giving Aberdeen locals a real alternative for their holidays."

Aberdeen Airport's managing director Kevin Brown added: "This is great news for passengers in Aberdeen who are looking for some late-season sun. It is a show of faith from the company that they are bringing in extra services, despite talk of the UK's gloomy economic position.

"I think this shows that people still want to get away and I am delighted that they can go right from their own doorstep."

Next time you fly from Aberdeen Airport, remember to book great value airport parking and an airport hotel with Holiday Extras.
