Ryanair extends guarantee

Low-cost carrier Ryanair has said that it will extend its lowest fare guarantee until the end of the month.

Earlier today (June 12th), the airline revealed that passengers would be able to still enjoy its guaranteed low fares on all bookings until June 30th.

Until then, any passenger that books a seat with Ryanair and then finds a cheaper flight with another carrier will be refunded double the difference between the two ticket prices.

Extending the deal, Ryanair criticised a similar promise made by easyJet, saying that the exclusions that the other airline had in place undermined its price guarantee.

"Ryanair continues to guarantee that no airline in Europe will match our fares. Easyjet can't match our fares which is why its guarantee is worthless," said the airline's head of communications, Peter Sherrard.

"Only Ryanair guarantees the lowest fares on all bookings, to all countries and across city airports. With easyJet passengers get high fares and meaningless platitudes. With Ryanair, passengers are guaranteed the lowest fares."

Ryanair is Europe's largest low-cost carrier and offers more than 460 routes to 25 different countries.
