New routes from Flybe

Regional airline Flybe has revealed it winter schedule, which contains eight new routes from the carrier.

The airline's winter season begins on October 28th and will see the low-cost carrier flying from Southampton to Brussels and starting the first ever route between Southampton and Avignon.

Other new services include flights between the Isle of Man and Geneva and Cardiff. In additional, Flybe will operate flights to Cardiff from Paris Charles de Gaulle and a service between Jersey and Geneva.

Finally, Flybe said that it would begin routes between Edinburgh and Newquay and will be increasing the frequency of flights to winter sports destinations such as Chambery, Berne and Salzburg.

"Following the successful acquisition of BA Connect earlier this year, the launch of our winter schedule for 2007 sees us continuing to deliver on our promise to bring travel choice to the regions and building Flybe into a bigger and stronger airline," explained Mike Rutter, the chief commercial officer at Flybe.

"The introduction of an additional route between Southampton and Brussels and the expansion of our services to Switzerland is of great strategic importance, demonstrating Flybe's aggressive expansion policy."
