Cheap Flights 'offer Travel To Families'

The availability of low-cost flights means that more families are now able to afford holidays and foreign trips, it has been claimed.

According to Take the Family, a company specialising in holiday packages for families, some parents are now eager to take trips and take advantage of low fares.

"Cheap flights have made travel more accessible for a lot more families," a spokesperson for the company said.

"They have also allowed parents to make their own decisions of when they go and how long they go for and they are no longer restricted to the seven or 14 days holiday options."

Another effect of the expansion of low-cost aviation has been growth at regional airports, which are "far more attractive to families", according to the company.

"Shorter transfer times, both at home and at your destination, are certainly preferred where young children are concerned," the spokesperson said.
