Top Costa Adeje Excursions

Cost Adeje offers plenty for holidaymakers of all kinds to enjoy. There are many fine beaches, for example, including three that have been awarded Blue Flags. There's also a nearby canyon and a designer shopping centre – and that's just for starters. Nevertheless, if you're staying in this part of the island, you might be tempted to wander further afield. We've got some potential excursions for you to consider but first, please take the time to check out our Costa Adeje airport transfers.

Parque Nacional del Teide

If you're staying in Costa Adeje, you really should make the time to visit Teide National Park, which is home to Mount Teide, Spain's highest peak and the world's third largest volcano. Covering approximately 118 square miles, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the most sought-after destination of its kind in Europe. Discover more than 168 kinds of plant species – more than 30 of which originated on the island. And don't forget to take the cable car that rises high above Teide's 3,718-metre-tall summit.

Siam Park

The highest rated of the Canary Island's theme parks and arguably the best water attraction in the whole of Europe, if not the world, Siam Park is a marvellous place for kids and the young at heart. Relax, run about or ride to your heart's content – Siam Park has its own beach, several pools, awesome Thai-themed structures and a host of adrenalin-pumping attractions.

Cue the music

If you happen to be visiting Tenerife during March, you might want to secure tickets for the I Love Music Festival, which takes place at Siam Park. This open-air, dance-music celebration is a one-day event that starts at 15:00 and goes on until midnight, and attracts some of clubland's finest talents, such as Carl Douglas, Justin Mylo and Nastia.

Parque Rural de Anaga

The northernmost tip of the island is encompassed by Parque Rural de Anaga, which consists of about 56 square miles of peaks, troughs and forests, and is peppered with captivating little villages. Here, you'll have the opportunity to lose yourself in beautiful natural surroundings that hark back to a bygone age.

La Gomera

The second-smallest of the Canaries' main islands, Gomera might be a two-hour ferry journey from Tenerife but it's worth the time it takes, particularly if you enjoy a good hike. There are all manner of trails to explore, many of which will take you down plunging ravines and up rugged hills. The island's black-sanded beach is something to behold, too. Before you leave, head over to Valle Gran Rey for the chance to observe dolphins and whales.
