Scotland, with its remote natural landscapes, Celtic legends and cultural festivals is one of the most sought-after, and yet difficult to access locations in the UK. However, coach journeys can both make the journey easy for you and guide you around the best sights, towns and landscapes of Scotland.

What facilities are there on a coach trip?

Coach trips normally have extensive facilities such as toilets and washrooms, as well as English plugs to charge your electronics with. The seats are also often more comfortable than a normal coach, and they'll provide storage for your luggage. There is also often air conditioning, heating, double glazed and tinted windows which makes sure that the temperature remains comfortable for the duration of your trip. However, you should always check with your coach provider before travelling if you're in need of a particular facility and take out travel insurance to cover your trip.

Places to visit in Scotland

Edinburgh:

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is not just worth visiting during the infamous Edinburgh Fringe. Actually, it's best to avoid the crowds of August and visit during the quieter months, when you can enjoy the castle which dominates the Edinburgh skyline, the shopping of Old Town and its great museums at your own pace.

Loch Ness:

Loch Ness, the legendary home of the Loch Ness monster, is not only beautiful for its monstrous roots. The lake makes for a wonderful trip hiking, boating and following the trails around the expansive lake.

Ben Nevis:

The Cairngorms are fantastic for their climbing opportunities, with Ben Nevis being the tallest mountain in the UK. However, there is much more to do for non-climbers, with an abundance of wildlife and walking trails available.

Scotland is an impressive country that can make for a wonderful coach trip, seeing the best that Scotland has to offer. From its capital to its countryside, a coach trip will allow you to experience the country at a relaxed and stress-free pace.
