Only to commend Humberside Airport for surviving despite competition and recession, and enabling its users to park incredibly close to the terminal. It makes a world of difference at the start and end of a trip. Mind you, in an ideal world there would a direct rail link straight into the airport and the cars would stay at home, but we have to be realistic about what is possible in this sparsely populated areaMr Williams 22 May, 2009

Loved Humberside Airport. Friendly, unfussy, quiet, easy to check in, parking on doorstep. Can't understand why we can't fly ut of Humberside to Lanazarote this winter. Are Thomas Cook not including in their winter schedule? Are any other operators flying out of Humberside to Lanzarote Winter 2009?Mr Brammer 14 Apr, 2009
Humberside airport is between Scunthorpe and Grimsby and is easily accessed from the A180 and M180.
From the north:
Take the A15, until you come to the roundabout where the A15 meets the A180. Go straight on at the roundabout and head south along the A18. Carry on until the road forks. Take the left hand fork over the railway bridge. From here follow signs to the airport, which will be on your right.
From the west:
Take the M180, which becomes the A180. At the roundabout go right onto the A18 and carry on until the road forks. Take the left hand fork over the railway bridge. From here follow signs to the airport, which will be on your right.
From the east:
Take the A180 until you come to the roundabout where the A180 meets the A18. Turn left onto the A18. Carry on until the road forks. Take the left hand fork over the railway bridge. From here follow signs to the airport, which will be on your right.
From the south:
Take the A1 north until you reach the exit for the A46 near Lincoln. Take the A46 until you reach the Riseholme roundabout when you should take the first exit onto the A15. Continue along the A15 until you reach the M180. At junction 5 branch left, then at the Barnetby Interchange roundabout take the fourth exit onto the A18. Turn right and at the roundabout take the first exit onto Franklin Way. At the next roundabout take the third exit to the airport.
