Kids go FREE
A maximum of two children between the ages of five and 15 can travel FREE* if they are with a paying adult or group of adults. Children under five always travel FREE.
*Child discounts are dependent upon the route and train operator. Free travel for children is not available on routes via the Transpennine Express - on these routes children are charged at half the adult fare.
How to book with Holiday Extras
There a few rules and regulations. Rail tickets cannot be booked within four working days of when you want to travel. Tickets are valid for one month. A minimum of two passengers must travel on a return journey. The return journey must be more than 48 hours after the outward trip. The ticket must also be part of a package including overseas travel by air.

Sofitel hotel - special advance rate Sofitel excellent, room overlooked monorail at gatwick but very little noise so not a problem!
Car parking excellent and even thiugh i got my dates wrong and outstayed my welcome did not cahrge ebven though I offerred. So would definitely use again

No. 1 lounge - North terminal The rail tickets were a great option however they couldnt be read in the Gatwick express scanner, a staff member had to let you through. The hotel was right opposite the North terminal & very good value for money.

Again - excellent value for overnight stay and 15 nights parking.We were picked up by the Crowne PLaza people from the rail station - very easy - and the guy drove us directly to our car and gave us an exit ticket. Couldn't have been easier.

APL Out bound - vehicle wasnt big enough to carry luggage (skis - snowboards ect for passengers)had to return with luggage.. maybe have another driver on when busy ? or tow a trailer for luggage ?

Ramada Encore NEC hotel Our room a bit stuffy but otherwise all was perfect! Lovely decor and cleanliness. Staff v helpful re walking to station to catch monorail --both gave clear directions.
Car safe and exit from car park easy.
We would certainly recommend you!

Multi-storey Able to get into short stay car park at T2 Manchester using card I booked with. I could not get out without quoting my booking reference. OK if I known. Had a trail of cars behind me while I searched for my booking reference in my luggage.

Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel Great price £94 for 15 nights parking and a night at The Hilton NEC. Transfers via hotel mini-bus and monorail a great start/finish to holiday and back on road after holiday much quicker than using normal parking/bus xfer etc.

Summer Special Only problem was when we came back plane was diverted back to South Terminal instead of North Terminal, but there wasn't anything on the ticket to say if this happens get Monorail back to North terminal, so I had to phone to check and then the bus stop is different number to that printed on ticket.

Ramada Encore NEC hotel Stayed at the Ramada Encore, Birmingham NEC. Well worth £59 for a family room and 8 days parking. A short walk and monorail to the airport.

APL Very smooth process to and from Liverpool Airport and the same cost as the long-stay car park. So no long trailing of cases to the terminal in bad weather. Would certainly use you again.

Best Western Moat House hotel We booked the Best Western Moat house hotel at Gatwick and the whole experience made for a smooth start to our holiday in Cuba. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, transfer to and from the airport/railway station was just 5 minutes and we had a very nice evening meal and an excellent breakfast.
