Singapore Airlines prepares to launch A380

Travellers between Singapore and Sydney were today given a boost as Singapore Airlines announced the Airbus A380 will be used to run flights between the two cities next month.

Linking two of the biggest business and travel destinations in the eastern hemisphere, the newly served route will begin on October 28th.

Three Boeing 747-400 aircraft previously operated the Singapore Airlines service, but the A380 will replace one of them for a daily return flight departing Singapore in the evening to arrive in Australia the next morning.

Nicknamed the Superjumbo, passengers en route to Sydney in the A380 will be able to enjoy what Singapore Airlines claims to be the world's best inflight products.

With a flight time of just over seven hours estimated by the Australian Tourism Net, Singapore to Sydney passengers will be able to enjoy the new comforts of the immense A380 before swift arrival Down Under.
