BA moves more flights to T5

Excellent value parking at Heathrow
BA Terminal 5

After a shaky start, British Airways is confident that Heathrow Terminal 5 is now working well.

As a result, the airline began moving their long haul flights from Terminal 4 on 5 June. During this first phase a quarter of BA flights were moved successfully to the new terminal. Abuja, Bangalore, Beijing, Cairo, Cape Town, Lagos, New York JFK and Phoenix are now all served by T5.

A further 29 intercontinental flights will move into the terminal on 17 September.

These include services to and from Mauritius, Nairobi, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Bahrain, Kuwait, Tel-Aviv, Nassau, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Baltimore, Washington, Dallas, Newark, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto and Mexico City.

Terminal 5 opened disastrously on 27 March 2008 after huge press and public expectation. Problems with the high-tech baggage handling system, staff car parking provision and staff security screening caused flight cancellations, delays and millions of pounds in losses.

Avoid problems parking at the airport and enjoy excellent customer service and value for money at Heathrow Courtlands. This off-site airport serves every terminal at the airport and operates free transfers through the day and night.
