Inverness Airport Arrivals

Inverness airport arrivals

Inverness is a well-connected airport with a great reputation, but paying over the odds for parking when picking up a passenger, or choosing the wrong public transport option, can leave you in an understandably bad mood. The information on this page should help you to get to the airport in time to collect your friend, or to choose the right bus or taxi if you’re not getting collected. And when you need to know the details of your flight, simply use the live feed or the form on the right.

Picking up by car

Stepping out of the arrivals terminal to find a friendly face waiting for you, car door open, can be the perfect end to your trip. If your driver hasn’t planned their journey in advance, though, you could be waiting a while.

The airport is located a 15-minute drive from Inverness city centre, so luckily it’s easy to find. Just join the A96 when you leave the city and follow the signs.

If you think you’ll need extra help you can key IV2 7JB into your sat nav, or can print out a copy of the helpful map below. We’ve also got more in-depth instructions on our directions to Inverness airport page.

Finding a parking space at Inverness airport

When you reach the airport, don’t just stop anywhere. You’ll have to find an official car park or parking zone otherwise you’ll be fined. Choosing the right one can save you money and ensure that your passenger does not have a lengthy walk from the terminal. You can choose from the Short-Stay car park or the Long-Stay car park.

If you’re picking up a passenger, and don’t need to wait around at Inverness airport, the best option is the Short-Stay car park, located outside the airport terminal. You can then meet your passengers at the pick-up point within the car park, or at the designated meeting point in the Arrivals Zone. Either way, you’ll enjoy free parking for the first 20 minutes* – more than enough time to meet and greet friends and family.
