Aer Lingus plans to have a base at Gatwick airport and will be offering new holiday flights .

The airline will commence daily services to in April to Malaga, Faro, Nice, Vienna, Munich, Zurich and Knock. Aer Lingus flights from Gatwick to Malaga and Knock, begin on April 6th, with flights to Munich, Vienna and Nice, starting on April 20th. Routes to Zurich and Faro start on April 26th 2009.

Aer Lingus move will create 120 new jobs . Good news for Gatwick, which has recently seen a number of flights relocated to Heathrow.
