Flights to Tel Aviv from LutonVisit Israel's second city every day except Saturday
Israel's "city that never stops" will be within easy reach of passengers flying from Luton airport from this spring.
El Al will be running six flights a week to Tel Aviv, Israel's second city and its commercial, financial and cultural centre, from Sunday, May 3.
The city lies on the Mediterranean coast and was founded in 1909 as the first Jewish city in modern times. It is known as the city that never stops.
Flights will leave Luton from Sunday to Thursday at 12.20pm, arriving in Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion airport at 7.15pm. On Fridays, flights will leave Luton at 9.55am and arrive in Tel Aviv at 4.50pm.
Return flights will leave Tel Aviv at 7.30am from Sunday to Thursday, arriving in Luton at 10.55am. On Friday return flights leave Tel Aviv at 5.05am and arrive in Luton at 8.30am.
Uri Danor, El Al's CEO for the UK, Ireland and northern Europe, said: "We are excited about our new venture.
"The flight timings are good for passengers as our departures and arrivals will be at times when the airport is at its quietest, so boarding and disembarkation will be able to take place more swiftly.
"The services are ideal for both leisure and business travellers."
The airline will be using B767 aircraft and will be offering business and economy class flights with full meals and drinks.
Luton airport managing director Glyn Jones said: "We are delighted El Al has chosen Luton for its new Tel Aviv service."
